Reveille Ciderworks Announces Expansion and New Facility
Astoria’s first dedicated cider producer will open a new production facility and taproom in the former Fernhill Glass studio, onsite at the Fort George Brewery downtown campus.
ASTORIA, OR. October 29, 2021 — Reveille Ciderworks of Astoria today announced a facilities expansion and move, enabling the company to scale its total production output in addition to opening a new, expanded cider taphouse and outdoor patio.
To enable the expansion, four year-old Reveille Ciderworks is relocating less than 200 yards east of its current location, to the former Fernhill Glass studio space on Exchange Street between 14th and 15th Street. Located on the Fort George Brewery downtown campus directly next to the Fort George gardens, the new facility will be just steps from the Fort Astoria monument --the site of the original Fort Astoria, the first American-owned settlement on the Pacific coast of North America, established in 1811. The move will enable the cidery to establish both a larger production facility and unveil a new, signature taproom along with an expanded outdoor space during the summer. Construction on the new location will begin in November, with an opening projected for early summer, 2022.
“When selecting our future location, it was important to everyone that the cidery remain in Astoria,” said company founder, Jeremy Towsey-French. “Navigating a worldwide pandemic, we were unsure of our prospects moving forward, but thanks to the continued support of our customers, partners and community, we survived --and now we can thrive. We will sincerely miss our friends at the Astoria Station Duane Street location, however this move will ensure that we are remaining true to our business goals as well as our values by producing and distributing everything from our Astoria headquarters.”
As part of the company’s expansion, Reveille will shift primary focus to an expanded fleet of kegged products for distribution in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Individual packaged products will also be available in limited quantities, primarily from the new Reveille taphouse, as well as select retailers.
Fort George Distribution is the distributor of record for Reveille hard cider in Clatsop and Tillamook counties, as well as Pacific County in Southwest Washington. For sales of Reveille cider outside of these counties, please contact sales@astoriacider.com.
